PACTA announces two new partnerships
PACTA is delighted to announce two new strategic partnerships: with the World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists (WCMP) and with the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation (Glencree).
WCMP As part of its cooperation with the WCMP, PACTA has been invited to act as a co-host and a partner of the annual Global Donors Forum in Kuala Lumpur on April 11-13th, 2012. The World Congress of Muslim Philanthropists is a global network of affluent individuals, foundations, and socially responsible corporations established to advance efficient and accountable giving. For more information about the WCMP, please see www.thewcmp.org Each year, the WCMP, together with its worldwide partners, organises a convening, known as the Global Donors Forum (http://www.cresstech.com/gdf/), to promote effective giving and forge strategic partnerships for high-impact social investment. PACTA has participated in two previous congresses - (Doha in 2010 and Dubai in 2011) - and is looking forward to working closely with the WCPM to ensure the 2012 event is equally successful.
Glencree PACTA is also pleased to be strengthening its cooperation with the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation. The two organisations have been working closely together on specific initiatives for some time and have recently agreed to enter into a more formal partnership. The new partnership reflects the complementary strengths of both organisations and is designed to promote exchanges of learning on conflict resolution and peace mediation. Both PACTA and Glencree strongly believe that the sharing of experiences between different peace processes can help to stimulate new ideas and open up new opportunities for peacemaking. The Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation is a nonprofit, non-governmental organisation and a registered charity in the Republic of Ireland that is dedicated to providing leadership and support in practical peace building and works to transform violent conflict within and between divided communities in Ireland, North and South, and elsewhere. More information can be found on the Glencree website www.glencree.ie/index.html
